Tonawanda, NY (WBEN) Town of Tonawanda Police say a man stabbed his girlfriend to death over the weekend.
Police Lt. Nick Bado says officers responded to a call for a person stabbed at 26 Blackmore Street around 5AM Sunday. Police say the victim, Jennifer Sacaridis, had been stabbed numerous times by her boyfriend, Edmund Serwinowski, and died shortly after being transported to Kenmore Mercy Hospital. Serwinowski was apprehended by Patrol Officer Mark Scranton as he was attempting to leave the area. He has been charged with Murder in the Second Degree and was sent to the Erie County Holding Center.
There is a hearing scheduled in Town of Tonawanda Court on Thursday December 20th at 4PM.
