The AAA reports the current average cost for a gallon of unleaded gas in the region is $3.71.  That's still forty-six cents higher than the national price of $3.25 per gallon.

The Amherst Industrial Development Agency approved an incentive package for Iskalo Development's planned $9.88 million renovation of The Lord Amherst Hotel.  Work on refurbishing the 96-room hotel will begin next month and should be completed by this summer.

For the year about to end, Tim Hortons has opened fifteen new traditional and non-traditional restaurants in the Buffalo area.  The coffee and donut chain has 755 restaurants spread across eleven U.S. states and has a presence on five U.S. military bases.
