It's been a snowy Saturday across Western New York. Roughly two to three inches had falled by mid afternoon making roads and highways slick and snow covered.
Forecaster Aaron Reynolds at the Buffalo office of the National Weather Service will move on as the day wares on.
"Winter Weather Advisory is still going to be in effect until 9 p.m. [Saturday] evening... the snow will taper off and the heavier snows move away. Generally, overall, throughout the area, everybody's received anywhere from two to three inches from this storm, maybe slightly more in some areas," Reynolds says.
Authorities received several reports of accidents, including mishaps along the Thruway in both directions in areas just east of Buffalo, and to the south of the city, but those accidents have since been cleared.
The Cattaraugus County Sheriff's Department says they've investigated several accidents along routes 16, 219, 62, and Interstate 86.
Officials are reminding people to slow it down and leave extra time for traveling.
