Looking Back at the WBEN Live Line in 2012

Buffalo, NY (WBEN) - Over the years, we've found one of the best ways to look back at the big news stories of the year is to look back at who has been on the Buffalo's Early News Live Line, and how many times they've been on.

In 2012, we had 1,307 Live Line interviews, and the biggest numbers came from the stories that Western New Yorkers were talking about most: The trial of Dr. James Corasanti and it's aftermath, and the politics surrounding the election cycle.

We don't count our regular contributors, those folks who join us for weekly or seasonal appearances, like Gina Browning from the SPCA or Mike Robitaille during hockey season (when there is a hockey season). It is worth noting, though, that our regular Tuesday politics guest: Dave Levinthal from politico.com, joined us a whopping 67 times talking about the Republican primaries and debates, the conventions, the general election debates, and now the fiscal cliff.
