Medical device manufacturer Stryker will remain in business for about another month. The Michigan-based company, which announced its intent to close West Seneca and Orchard Park facilities last June, needs to complete a few orders. The new final closing date is January 25th.
The Woodlawn Volunteer Fire Company received a $69,000 grant through the Department of Homeland Security. Those funds will be used to purchase new monitor pagers, radios, turnout gear, air bottles and new hose.
The Lancaster Opera House will be getting a $50,000 Capitol Project grant from the state. That money will be used for numerous facility upgrades and improvements.
M.J. Peterson Corporation President Lee Peterson was recently honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Buffalo Niagara Builders Association.
