Dunkirk, NY (WBEN) It is not a good start to the new year for some 375 employees at a food manufacturing facility. Ralcorp says it's closing down facilities in Dunkirk and Silver Creek.

The St. Louis-based company says it's "due to a re-allocation of manufacturing to maximize capacity and capabilities at other facilities within the United States."

The company delivered Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) notices to affected employees at both facilities today.  The layoffs will impact both hourly and salaried employees.
