Sovran Self Storage purchased fourteen self storage facilities; six in Chicago, four in Southwest Florida, three in Austin, Texas and one in Phoenix, Arizona. Sovran operates 462 self storage facilities in twenty-five states under the Uncle Bob's Self Storage name.
Niagara County's Industrial Development Agency approved a pair of applications for assistance. Covanta Niagara L.P. will invest in a number of capital investment projects at its 56th Street facility in Niagara Falls. Trek, Incorporated is leaving Medina to occupy two floors of Building 4 in the former Harrison Radiator complex in Lockport. The projects will result in $50 million in investments and create 123 new jobs.
Local developer Roger Trettel's group has officially purchased the Grand Island Holiday Inn. The property and related hotel items cost a reported $4.4 million.
National document handling company Cornerstone Records Management, which has a Buffalo office, has acquired Docushred, another Buffalo firm. Terms of the deal were not made public.
