Police say a 19 year old was shot outside the club following an argument inside. Hoarce Miller suffered serious injuries in the shooting. 21 year old Chemere Barclay is charged with assault and weapons possession.
"RIght after the New Year's incident, I sought immediate closure of the club," says Brown who called for corporation counsel, Derenda, and B District Chief Brian Patterson to put together a request to the State Liquor Authority to immediately revoke Social's license. It was granted eight days after the report was sent.
Derenda says there have been numerous incidents in the past, including 50 assault cases in the last two years. "We will not tolerate this type of establishment that caters to underage patrons and sometimes gangs," says Derenda.
