Buffalo Business Report - Wednesday, January 16th 2013

The Buffalo Planning Board has provided its stamp of approval to a handful of projects.  Business First reports the largest one was the $16 million Rocco Termini re-use plan for the FWS Warehouse on Elmwood Avenue.  Once environmental reviews are conducted, work on that could begin within six months.  Also given the go-ahead were the Mighty Taco renovation for a former driving school on Kenmore Avenue near Englewood in Buffalo and an 11-hundred square foot expansion to a second floor patio at Pearl Street Grill & Brewery.

The Franciscan Sisters of St. Joseph have lowered their asking price for property on South Park Avenue in Hamburg by $1 million.  For sale are a former residential health care facility and stand-alone home.

Schrock Metal Products of Akron has begun integrating a new High Speed Linear Drive Flying Optic Laser as part of a two phase initiative at the plant.

Tonawanda-based energy services company Building Controls & Services has been named the exclusive Western New York dealer for Telecor.  Telecor is a supplier of IP solutions.
