Accident DIverts Thruway Traffic



Silver Creek, NY (WBEN) The 90 Westbound was blocked for a couple of hours Monday following an accident that involved six vehicles.

The Thruway Authority says a tractor trailer and five passenger vehilces were involved in the crash around 4pm. Traffic was diverted at the Eden-Angola exit. That led to congestion all the way back to the Lackawanna toll barrier.

This was in the thick of lake effect snow pouncing the southern half of Western New York.
Minor injuries were reported.
