(WBEN) An Albany-area lawmaker is taking to cyberspace to try and repeal the new gun laws passed in the state earlier this month.
State Senator Kathy Marchione says 107,000 signatures have been collected in her petition to repeal and replace the gun law.

"The response is beyond what I would have expected from people in New York," says Marchione.
Marchione wants to get rid of unconstitutional aspects of the new gun law.
"Regarding the reduction of ammunition, the new registration requirements, and the provision of having to opt-in when registering to keep your personal information private, and the criminalization of gun owners who fail to register their guns," explains Marchione.
At the same time, there are parts of the law she backs.
"I agree with the strengthening of Kendra's Law, increased penalties for using illegal guns, and providing more funding to schools to improve their security," notes Marchione.
