Elderly Man Arraigned on Manslaughter Charge



Buffalo, NY (WBEN) An 87 year old man has been arraigned on a charge of first degree manslaughter in connection with the death of his roommate inside an assisted care center.

Chester Rusek is accused of severely beating his roommate, 86 year old Salvatore Trusello with a heavy magnet inside their room at Kenwall DePaul Assisted Living Center in the town of Tonawanda November 26th.

Trusello died of his injuries a month later.

Rusek faces up to 25 years in prison if convicted.
