South Valley, NY (WBEN) A South Valley man faces a charge of cruelty to animals.

Cattaraugus County Sheriff's Deputies say 24 year old Deven Dudenhoffer admitted he shot a dog in South Valley two weeks ago.

Deputies were investigating a complaint from a citizen.

Dudenhoffer was processed and released; he'll return to court at a later date.
