BUFFALO, NY- (WBEN) -- A heavy band of snow impacted Buffalo early Saturday and has since shifted further to the north. The most recent statement from the National Weather Service follows:

...LAKE EFFECT SNOW WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 AM EST SUNDAY...

* LOCATIONS...GRAND ISLAND SOUTH TO THE BUFFALO METRO AREA.

* TIMING...THROUGH 1 AM SUNDAY MORNING.

* ACCUMULATIONS...AN ADDITIONAL 2 TO 4 INCHES IN THE PERSISTENT
  LAKE SNOW BAND TONIGHT.

* VISIBILITIES...AS LOW AS A QUARTER MILE AT TIMES.

* IMPACTS...HEAVY LAKE EFFECT SNOW WILL RESULT IN VERY DIFFICULT
  TRAVEL WITH VERY POOR VISIBILITY AND DEEP SNOW COVER ON ROADS.
