Buffalo Business Report - Wednesday, February 6th 2013

The Fort Erie Live Racing Consortium appears to have found a way to continue operations this year.  Business First reports a deal has been cut with landlord Nordic Gaming to cut rent payments from $650,000 to $395,000.  An Ontario provincial panel must still agree that the cost-cutting move makes the track viable.  A decision on that needs to come before March 31st in order for the racing schedule to be set.

M&T Bank is offering an on-line service that can manage payroll information and processing for small businesses with one to one hundred employees.  There is a monthly fee of $54.99 for up to ten employees.

Advanced Monolythic Ceramics of Olean has announced it will cease operations. The move impacts 65 workers.  The plant will close August 31st.

Astronics Corporation reported a net income rise of three cents from last year's fourth quarter, to thirty-seven cents per share.  Sales increased by $6.3 million over the same period.
