The Postal Service is asking Western New Yorkers to make sure letter carriers have a clear path to their mailbox -- even following a significant snowfall.
The agency is hoping people will clear snow and ice from walkways, driveways, porches, and areas around the mailbox.
The safety manager for the Western New York district says that mail carriers sustain the most injuries through slips, trips, and falls...
And the agency says those injuries increase drastically during the winter months.
