The real estate web site looked at disposable income, the size of the dating pool, competition, walkability, and the transplant rate. Buffalo ranked 9th among 150 cities for men seeking women under 35.
Corey Hopkins with Zillow.com says Buffalo's affordability was a big factor. "Zillow's rent index is about $810 a month, which is lowest among the top ten cities on this list, so when you look at having disposable income, that really helps Buffalo out," says Hopkins.
Hopkins says walkability is a big plus for the Queen CIty for men looking for their queen. "There is a good bar scene, colleges, for young people to go about and meet," explains Hopkins.
Hopkins says there's a high ratio of single women for single men in Buffalo, keeping up with the likes of Philadelphia, Memphis, San Diego, and Cleveland. Worcester, Massachusetts topped the list.
