Washington, D.C.. (WBEN) Citing recent super storms like Sandy, drought conditions and wildfires, tens of thousands of protestors gathered on the National Mall Sunday to fight for climate change policies Sunday. The rally is dubbed #Forward on Climate and it is sponsored by the Sierra Club, 350.org and the Hip-Hop Caucus in the hopes that federal lawmakers focus on the climate change issue during President Obama's second term.
The crowd is also protesting the construction of the controversial Keystone XL Pipeline which involves the transport of highly toxic tar sands from Canada to refineries along the Gulf Coast.
