Buffalo, NY (WBEN) After beating the Boston Bruins on Friday, the Buffalo Sabres followed up with yet another loss Sunday against the Pittsburgh Penguins 4-3 at First Niagara Center. Buffalo played one of the most exciting games of the year but two early goals from Pittsburgh were what did the team in.

The Penguins quieted the hometown fans early with two goals in the first 90 seconds of action. Pascal Dupuis beat Ryan Miller just 35 seconds in, then Sidney Crosby scored on the power-play at the 1:27 mark. The Sabres battled back on goals from Cody Hodgson and Thomas Vanek and eventually took the lead on a goal from Steve Ott in the third period.

The Penguins then got their scoring groove back after being denied by Miller on a number of occasions. Dupuis got his second of the game to tie the score at 3-3 and then Paul Martin got the game winner with just over two minutes remaining on the clock.

The Sabres return to action Tuesday night against the Winnipeg Jets to close out a three-game home stand.
