Carl Paladino's Ellicott Development Company has shown the benefits of coming in second. After losing out on the Webster Block project to the Buffalo Sabres, Paladino's company is seeking to secure a series of parcels between Templeton Landing and the Erie Basin Marina. Should those plans and subsequent approvals pan out, a $75 million investment will result in a 14-story complex anchored by a 138-room hotel. The structure would also include apartments, restaurants, banquet facilities and an indoor pool.
Fourth quarter profit for Gibraltar Industries came in at five cents per share. The company suffered a loss of seventeen cents per share for the same period a year ago.
