As the Canalside project continues to take shape, nearby development is increasing.  Business First reports a partnership fronted by developer Sam Savarino will open a two-level music club at 49 Illinois Street across from the First Niagara Center parking ramp.  The venue will be able to seat 800 people.  

Oliver's Restaurant is changing hands.  The new owner is the current owner of the Creekview in Williamsville.  Henry Gorino will stay on as a consultant for the next five years.

Furnishings and equipment from the Italian Village restaurant in Amherst will be sold at auction tomorrow morning at 10am.  The Wehrle Drive site will soon be the home of a Dollar General store.

The 46 Court Street location of First Niagara Bank will close April 5th.  All business will be transferred to the 14 Lafayette Square location two blocks away.

Operation PETS, the Spay/Neuter Clinic of WNY has received a $92,000 grant from the ASPCA.
