Amherst (WBEN) -- Amherst police are investigating a burglary in progress that was discovered on Friday afternoon around 3:30 in the North Forest -Maple Road area.

Police say the 19-year-old victim returned home and found a white male, standing six feet, 170-pounds, and wearing black had broken into the home.

Police say a struggle ensued, and the victim suffered some minor facial injuries and was treated at Millard Fillmore Suburban.
