Police say Todd Nicosia set up a fake Facebook account where he advertised himself as Katherine Legos in attempts to lure women into sending him photos of them wearing a popular line of sleepwear. Posing as Legos, police say Nicosia offered women large sums of money to send images to him in their underwear to be forwarded to a modeling agency. Investigators say the women expeced to be paid for the images and invited to a modeling shoot in Rochester later this year. Several women were told they could be case in a pornographic movie for extra money if they sent naked photos.
Police say one woman became suspicious of the urgency to send photos to a gmail account and contacted them. Subpoenas were prepared for one particular IP address that appeared to be associated with the name of th account associated with the fake account linked to a Banko Drive address. Police say women in the pictures appeared to be about 20 years or older. Nicosia's computer found no child porn.
Nicosia turned himself in to Depew Police Sunday and will later appear at Depew Justice Court Wednesday at 9am for arraignment.
