Wire Thief Caught

BUFFALO, NY (WBEN) A series of unusual thefts of high voltage wiring which occurred in and around the Village of LeRoy and in the City of Rochester has led to the arrest of 28 year old Michael A. Nicometo of 45 North Street, LeRoy.

 

The thefts started about June 6th of 2012. What made this unusual was that the wires were cut from between the transformer and the building while the high voltage electric was still connected to the main power grid.
