Buffalo, NY (WBEN) Buffalo Police are investigating a fatal shooting as well as four others on the city's East Side this weekend. The first incident happened Friday night when 22-year-old Michael Smith of Buffalo was shot in the leg as he was driving in the vicinity of Lang Avenue. Smith lost control of his car and crashed the vehicle a short distance from where he was shot. Smith was taken to ECMC where he later died.
Meanwhile, police were also called out to Roslyn Street hours later as a man was wounded by gunfire. A third call directed authorities to the 2500 block of Bailey Avenue where two victims were hit in an apparent drive-by shooting. The fourth gun related call came Saturday afternoon as multiple shots were reported near the intersection of Walden and Keystone, luckily there were no injuries reported.
