School Bus Hits Tree After Collision

Amherst Police say the accident happened this morning when a Jeep apparently ran a stop sign, collided with the bus and then crashed into a parked vehicle. The full-size bus slammed head-on into a large tree.

The girls were taken to a hospital with non life threatening injuries, as was the Jeep driver, who was issued a summons for failing to stop at a stop sign..

The bus was going to Saint Gregory the Great School.
