Buffalo Business Report - Friday, March 15th 2013

According to the AAA, local gas prices have eased by one whole penny over the course of this week.  On average, a gallon of unleaded now costs $3.95 in the region.

National Grid's multi-year rate plan was approved by the state Public Service Commission.  Business First reports an average customer bill should see a 6.6% reduction over the course of the first year of the plan, or about $5.40.

Delaware North Companies has formed a joint venture with a Singapore-based company.  The 21-year contract could reap revenues of $550 million annually.

Cleveland BioLabs reported net income of $3.1 million for its fourth quarter, but that couldn't offset a net loss of $18.2 million for the 2012 fiscal year.

U.S. Census Bureau data shows Buffalo has gone up one spot to the 49th largest area in terms of metro population.  Although actual population decreased from the last survey, adjustments were made to the metro area boundaries.
