Buffalo, NY (WBEN) With the NFL's stamp of approval, Erie County's lease with the state and the Bills for the football team to use Ralph Wilson Stadium for the next ten years is virtually a done deal, says the county executive.
"The documents associated with the lease...those are now complete, they've been agreed to, and they've been submitted to the legislature for its approval," says Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz. He adds the state must do a final sign-off as well.
"We just need final approval...the t's have been crossed, the i's have been dotted, and with final approvals from the county and state, it could be a couple of weeks when we see the governor up here to announce the new lease," adds Poloncarz.
The new lease also will kick off the process of finding a potential new home for the Bills.
