Amherst Hyatt Project Approved by Planning Board

(WBEN) Town of Amherst residents fighting a proposed $20 million Hyatt Hotel proposed for Main Street at Interstate 290 have suffered another setback.

 Residents say the six-story hotel will affect the neighborhood's quality of life besides ruing their view.

The 137-room Hyatt Place Hotel will be located on a portion of the property facing the I-290 but abutting the neighborhood, behind a refurbished Lord Amherst Hotel and Sonoma Grille restaurant, as depicted in Iskalo's rendering, below.
