BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - Two teens face murder and burglary charges following the death of an elderly man five months after he was severely beaten during a home invasion.
Erie County District Attorney Frank Sedita III says 18-year-old Justice Feggans was arraigned in Buffalo Wednesday and 19-year-old Jordan McKinnon appeared in court on Friday. Both were charged in sealed indictments with second-degree murder and first-degree burglary in the attack on 96-year-old church deacon Levi Clayton.
The retired auto worker and World War II veteran suffered a broken jaw and other injuries and died April 10. An autopsy determined the injuries caused his death.
Police say they want to question two others in the case, a 22-year-old and 17-year-old.
Feggans' lawyer, Jason Schmidt, declined comment Wednesday.
