Manuel Meets the Press
Orchard Park, NY (WBEN) Hours after being selected by the Bills in the NFL Draft, EJ Manuel met with reporters at One Bills Drive for the first time.
"This is a dream come true," says Manuel. "This is something I've worked toward my entire football career. The decision I made, the things I do when no one's looking, this is where it all pays off. There's more hard work to go."
Manuel says all it takes is one team to fall in love with you to get drafted, and he's elated to be picked 16th, and knew he'd be picked when the Bills traded down.
His plans with the Bills, as he competes for the quarterback job are simple. "I expect to come in and learn, but the biggest thing is to earn the respect of my teammates. The best way to do that is not do a lot of talking, just come in and learn as fast as possible," says Manuel.
