Ann Billittier, Co-Founder Of Landmark Restaurant Dies
Sarasota, FL (WBEN) Ann Billittier, the woman who helped make Chef's Italian Restaurant synonymous with Buffalo has passed away. The 83-year-old Billittier died Saturday at a Hospice facility in Florida following a brief illness.
Billittier who along with her husband, the late Lou Billittier, took over ownership of the landmark restaurant at the corner of Seneca and Chicago back in 1954. The establishment has always been the place to find the who's who of Queen City politicians, sports stars and celebrities. The Billittier family continues to run Chef's and say that funeral arrangements are being made through Lakeside Funeral Home in Hamburg.
