AMPUTEE-ERIE CANAL RIDE

TONAWANDA, N.Y. (AP/WBEN) - A motivational speaker who was born without full arms and legs is planning to bicycle 365 miles along the Erie Canal.

John Robinson is the founder of an advocacy group called Our Ability. He says he wants to show others what people with disabilities can accomplish, as well as raise funds to support adaptive sports, education and employment for all New Yorkers with disabilities.

Robinson will begin his journey Sunday in Tonawanda, north of Buffalo.

Over the next two weeks, he and members of Our Ability will bike, boat, run and walk the Erie Canal and Canalway Trail all the way to Albany, arriving July 8
