Erie County Roads:   Kenmore Ave., Millersport Highway, Youngs Road, East Robinson Rd.

Erie County's public works commissioner hopes the weather will cooperate for the projects he's planning this summer

"One of the biggest (projects) is East Robinson Road from Sweet Home to North French," says Public Works Commissioner John Loffredo.

"Hopefully Kenmore Road will be started this summer, Youngs Road from Wehrle to Main Street, and Eggert Road from Main to Millersport are part of the series of projects we've got ahead." The projects range from total road reconstruction and widening to overlay and what's called stone and oiling along rural roads.

Loffredo says drivers are cooperative this time of year, but Mother Nature is not always. "The funding was in place early this year, but the weather has not. We got little rain last year, and this year seems to be making up for it," notes Loffredo. "If we get an early winter, it will put us further behind, but we'll do as much as we can done this year."

Good job with the night work
Thank you for the work to be done at night. The 290 has been progressing nicely with minimal problems thanks to the work being scheduled at night.
