Buffalo, NY (WBEN) The trade talk swirling around the Buffalo Sabres lately has been focused on Ryan Miller and Thomas Vanek. The team did pull the trigger on a deal Sunday but those big ticket names were not involved. Buffalo acquired their former defenseman, Henrick Tallinder from the New Jersey Devils in exchange for foreward, Riley Boychuck.
"We are excited to have Henrik back in the mix on our blue line," said GM, Darcy Regier. "His experience will be invaluable not only in adding more stability to our back end, but also in the development of some of our younger defensemen."
The trade for Tallinder comes on the heels of the team signing fello defenseman, Alexander Sulzer to a one-year deal.
