New York State's Department of Financial Services has approved health insurance rates for seventeen insurers across the state. Included in that group are the three major insurers for this region: BlueCross BlueShield parent HealthNow New York, Independent Health and Univera Healthcare's parent company Excellus. A Univera spokesman adds that Univera Healthcare will be represented on the New York State Health Insurance Exchange with their branded products.
