Promoters, Police Create New Traffic Detail for Outer Harbor Concerts
Buffalo, NY (WBEN) A new plan is in place, devised by promoters of the Outer Harbor Concert Series and Buffalo Police, to help deal with traffic issues associated with the concerts.
Those who head north on the Skyway can use the Outer Harbor Drive exit and go north on Fuhrmann Boulevard toward a new parking lot entrance. That was created last week to give cars an additional entry.
Those heading from the 190 to the Skyway must exit at the Tifft Street exit, where they can head north on Fuhrmann to the venue. Organizers say this will help relieve congestion issues on the Skyway from traffic backed up off Outer Harbor Drive.
A second parking lot has also been set up at the old Nano Dynamics building on Fuhrmann Boulevard for those whose cars can't fit into the main lot. Organizers say shuttles will be provided to and from the show for free.
Additional police will be on hand to direct traffic along Fuhrmann Boulevard.
