Buffalo, NY (WBEN) - Buffalo Police have made an arrest in the death of a 13 year old Buffalo teen.
Police say 21 year old Deshawn Morris of Hagen Street, (pictured L) confessed to the murder of 13 year old Lanasha Rollerson.
"We were ready to go look for the suspect yesterday evening at about 7 o'clock, when we recieved a tip that he was at ECMC" said Buffalo Police Commissioner Daniel Derenda. "Our detectives responded, and when he was released from ECMC he was taken down to police headquarters where he was later arrested and charged with the murder."
Rollerson's body was found on Poplar Street Tuesday and police say she was not abducted.
An autopsy shows she died of multiple stab wounds, but beyond that Buffalo Police Commissioner Daniel Derenda did not reveal further details saying the investigation continues.
Morris was taken into custody near 7pm last night and is charged with second degree murder.
