The AAA reports the average price for a gallon of unleaded gas in the region dropped by another penny over the weekend to $3.84.

Ford is buzzing about the addition of a planned workplace charging network in the U.S. and Canada.  Ford plans to install electric vehicle charging stations at more than 50 of its company officies and other sites.  The roll-out will continue through 2014.

The Fort Erie Live Racing Consortium has a plan to stay afloat long-term, but it's going to require government approvals.  Business First reports the business plan hinges on the track getting a guaranteed provincial allocation of $7.9 million for a 400-race season, or $800,000 more for a 500-race season.  A decision by October 15th has been requested, in order to secure horses and trainers for the 2014 season.

Fidelis Care has been approved to offer Medicare Advantage Products in 12 more New York Counties.  Among those are Erie, Niagara, Wyoming, Cattaraugus and Allegany.

The Joint Corporation, a chiropractic clinic franchisor, opens its first New York State clinic at Sheridan Drive and Delaware Avenue on Thursday.

Travers Collins was recently selected by the Buffalo Diocese as its agency of record.
