Buffalo, NY (WBEN) A teen on probation for his role in the Phoenix dog burning case finds himself in trouble with the law again. Diondre Brown has been arrested in connection with an assault near the Canisius College campus.
Buffalo Police Commissioner Daniel Derenda says Brown (left in picture) was arrested at his home this morning. Brown is accused of knocking down a woman near the campus and threatening her with a gun.
Canisius College Director of Public Safety Gary Everett says the crime is a serious one given the neighborhood. "Some crimes really go beyond the line of community standards. Hamlin Park is a quiet neighborhood. This crime brings a lot of alarm not only to our college community but our elders and out famliies," notes Everett.
Brown is charged with second degree assault. He pleaded guilty to being the lookout for Adell Ziegler (right in picture) when Ziegler lit Phoenix on fire. He is serving five years probation for his role.
