Buffalo, NY (WBEN) Thought the final count won't be official until all absentee ballots are counted, it looks like Dick Dobson and Barbara Miller-Williams will move on to their respective November elections.
Erie County Republican Elections Commissioner Ralph Mohr says Dobson's lead over Bert Dunn dropped from just 700 votes to 610 after the first round of absentee ballot votes. Miller-Williams led Timothy Hogues by one vote on primary night. The lead for Miller-Williams has increased to the point where it will be improbable for Hogues to catch up, says Mohr.
Mohr says 90 percent of the absentee ballots in the first legislative district, the race between Miller-Williams and Hogues, have been counted. The sheriff's primary is at 75 percent counted.
