Wegmas - Teamsters Dispute Flies High

Orchard Park, N.Y. (WBEN) - Look.  Up in the sky!  It's a bird, a plane, no it's an anti-Wegmans banner flying over "The Ralph".

As Buffalo Bills fans basked in the sunshine and soaked up a win over the Ravens at Ralph Wilson Stadium in Orchard Park Sunday, a plane pulling a banner that read "Wegmans Wants Buffalo to Lose" flew overhead.  It's not exactly the press the grocery giant is looking for on a Bills game day.

The banner was funded by Teamsters Local 118 which represents about 900 Wegmans transportation and shipping workers.  The Teamsters are at odds with Wegmans over their retirement plan.  Wegmans says the Teamsters retirement fund is underfunded and is moving to switch the Teamsters over to the Wegmans plan.

The Teamsters are voting on the issue Monday.
