The Niagara Wine Trail has been extended across all of Orleans County into neighboring Monroe County. Governor Andrew Cuomo signed the measure late last week. It effectively links the seventeen current wineries on the trail - including those in Niagara County - with more under development.
Racing continues at Batavia Downs this week, but there will not be any bells and whistles - at least not from the slots. The gaming floor is closed during a week-long expansion. Three new restaurants are also under construction. The gaming floor is anticipated to re-open this Friday.

Claims Recovery Financial Services will employ 150 people at the former JP Morgan Chase call center in Albion. The company is moving all of its state workers to the site by next March.
