The AAA reports another two cent drop for local gas prices this week, to an average of $3.74 per gallon of unleaded. That price has fallen thirteen cents in the past month, but is still thirty-seven cents higher than the national average of $3.37.
The Batavia Daily News reports that the Genesee County Economic Development Center approved a $1.6 million incentive deal for an expansion of Yancey's Fancy. The artisan cheese maker can now proceed with plans to build a new cheese factory at the corner of Routes 5 and 77.
Oliver's Restaurant is back to serving lunches, but only on a Wednesday through Friday basis. Lunch will be offered from 11:30am to 2:30pm on those days.
September bankruptcy filings in the Western District of New York increased 13.3%. That information provided by Jeffrey Freedman Attorneys at Law. It was the first increase in bankruptcy filings for Buffalo this year. So far in 2013, Buffalo bankruptcy filings are down 11.2%.
