BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — The power is back on in Buffalo after a broad but brief service outage.
National Grid says about 45,000 homes and businesses in the western New York city and some of its suburbs lost electrical service at about 6:30 a.m. Saturday due to a problem in a substation.
Traffic signals in parts of the city were also knocked out.
The last of those homes were back on the grid by 10 a.m.
The utility say the cause of the outage is being investigated.
