Hamburg, NY (WBEN) A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for the man accused of killing Toys R Us manager Larry Wells.
Bernard Gruzca, 38, appeared briefly in Hamburg Town Court Friday morning.
Justice Walter Rooth says a preliminary hearing will be held on Tuesday at 4PM, which gives the District Attorney's office six days to return a grand jury indictment. An indictment could happen before Tuesday. Until then, Gruzca will be held without bail.
Toys'R'Us released a statement today regarding the arrest:
We are grateful to the Town of Hamburg Police Department and other law enforcement agencies for their diligence and commitment to this investigation. We will continue to fully cooperate with law enforcement officials in seeking justice for Larry, his family, and all who loved him.
