WNY Has A Lot On Its Plate: Local Restaurant Week Kicks Off October 21
Where have you been and what would you recommend?
Plan whole week in advance
My friends and I plan out the entire week, plotting where to go every night. The extra calories are worth it!
Day One - Pano's
Pano's is our choice for Restaurant Week. My daughter has a gift certificate and has never been there. I am sure that she and her boyfriend will enjoy it as much as my husband and i do!!!
Chinese & Greek
We go to as many Greek and Chinese restaurants as we can find. I love how some Greek places even offer breakfast.
One of my fav weeks!
Black and Blue, Pairings, Campobellos are on the schedule so far. Have to throw in at least one more night - should go try a new place.
I try to make it to as many restaurants as I can during Local Restaurant Week. I especially like going for lunch when many places are offering 2 for $20.13 Dining Features! So far I have tried Scotch N' Sirloin, Brodo and Rizotto's. All were very good AND I left with a to go box at each one! So many restaurants, so much food and not enough meals in the week to visit all 200 restaurants!
Brenda, went to Gigi's on Kenmore Avenue, they did a very nice job. After eating there for restaurant week, I would definitely go back. One thing I don't like about restaurant week, is some places put out such weird menus. If it is a notedsteak house, then put steak on the menu. Why would they change and put everything else but steak. That is very annoying.
Good food and wine
Hey Brenda, Try Parings in Williamsville for a choice of chicken, pork or Mac & Cheese w/ shrimp. Plus you get some nice wine too.
Why not more breakfast spots?
Only see a couple who do breakfast. That's my favorite meal to go out and eat.
A Semi-Annual Treat
My wife and I look forward to hitting both some of favorite restaurants as well as some that we had yet to visit. And to add to the fun, we make a point of going with friends that we haven't seen in a while. With all of the great restaurants in the area, there's never a shortage of places to go and great food to eat.
Loved the choice of vegetarian and non- veg choices at Tandoori. Plus you get rice pudding included!
