Buffalo Business Report - Tuesday, October 29th 2013

Delaware North Companies' planned move of its downtown headquarters from the Key Center to a new building at Delaware and Chippewa is hitting some snags.  According to Business First, some officials are questioning the need for incentives for a move of a few blocks.  Delaware North could add as many as 65 new jobs.  A review by the Erie County Industrial Development Agency’s policy committee comes next Monday.

Tomorrow at 10am, a press conference will be held at the Crosby's convenience store at 4351 Lake Avenue in Lockport.  The site will be the first in Western New York to use solar power.  Partial funding for the project was received through a NYSERDA grant.

This is the final week for submissions to the 2014 Buffalo Niagara Business Ethics Awards.  Companies will be recognized in small, medium and large categories.  The BNBEA's mission is to raise the standards for business ethics in the Buffalo Niagara region.  Nominations are due by November 1st and can be made by following this link.
