In Western New York this week, the average cost for a gallon of unleaded gas slid another two cents to $3.57. According to the AAA, both the local and national prices have dropped fourteen cents from a month ago, but the national price of $3.21 is still thirty-six cents lower than the local average.
Time Warner Cable has reached a new carrier agreement with A&E Network and its affiliated sites. Terms of the long-term deal were not made public.

The new Boys & Girls Club of Holland has opened on 2.2 acres on Vermont Street. The project was funded through a $1.3 million capital campaign, which included grant support of $264,100 from the John R. Oishei Foundation.
