Slippery Night, Morning Possible

Buffalo, NY (WBEN) It could be a slick evening and morning on area roadways. Meteorologists are cautioning about black ice.

Here is the special statement from the National Weather Service:

A COLD FRONT DROPPING ACROSS THE REGION WILL BRING RAIN THIS
EVENING THAT WILL MIX WITH AND CHANGE OVER TO SNOW TONIGHT WITH
VERY LIGHT ACCUMULATIONS ACROSS THE LOWER ELEVATIONS AND AN INCH
OR TWO EXPECTED ACROSS HIGHER ELEVATIONS. TEMPERATURES RAPIDLY
FALLING BELOW FREEZING BEHIND THIS FRONT WILL CREATE A THREAT OF
BLACK ICE ON UNTREATED ROADS...SIDEWALKS...AND OTHER SURFACES
TONIGHT INTO TUESDAY MORNING. MOTORISTS ARE ADVISED TO EXERCISE
CAUTION AS UNTREATED ROADS AND PARTICULARLY BRIDGES AND OVERPASSES
MAY BECOME VERY SLICK AND ICY WITH LITTLE TO NO WARNING.
